Walking out onto the pristine shores of the Atlantic Ocean beneath a fleeting moonlight, I felt it was going to be a great morning for shooting. I set up my tripod and watched as the sun cracked over the horizon. Billowing clouds gathered over the horizon–setting the most perfect backdrop to capture the morning’s magic. The jetty had such a classic presence; almost as if it was still whispering stories from weathering 100 years of people, storms, and the constant presence of the waves and sand washing it. While I took many photographs that morning, the moment when the ocean calmed and I was able to press the shutter for “Into the Blue,” was without a doubt the highlight of that shoot.
