The vertical panoramic always gives a great presence to the image. The Empire State is such a tall, iconic building, I wanted this image to flow with the lines. 

Being perched atop the rooftop was radical. This was the angle I had searched for – it really draws your eyes in. A ten minute window of golden twilight was my time frame. I wanted you to see the detail and feel the buzz of New York City. Looking down into the city was like looking into a different world. The glowing lights throughout and the crimson skies on the horizon completed this special moment.
