The foggy morning was something I had been praying for. I had been scouting the island for days and I needed something really special to enhance this enchanted harbor. After seven days of clear, uneventful skies – my patience paid off. I was up before sunrise packing my gear and the harbor lights funneled their beams through the heavy mist. It was truly magical – still, silent and secluded. Like I had the world to myself. I took an entire series of arty, moody images, but it was the delicate simplicity of this image that spoke to me.
