Watching the sunrise over a snow covered landscape is an amazing experience. I spent the early hours of this cold morning searching for the perfect shot, setting up my tripod amongst the trees and waiting for the sun to crest the hill. As it rose, striking shadows were cast upon the virgin snow at my feet. I took a series of frames and captured this image just as the sun rose over the snow mound - giving the shot a real edge.
