Jackson Hole, Wyoming
The morning was silent and special. A freshly fallen blanket of snow created a special mood as I hiked in to find this isolated cabin. I set up my tripod and did my best to change lenses with fingers that were growing increasingly numb.
I was just too into the moment to care! The lighting was perfect as the sun provided everything I needed for this classic composition, soft charcoal shadowing and perfectly silhouetted trees. Being able to find and capture the solitary beauty of this area and this day was the perfect Christmas gift. Knowing that I had the shot came here for, I hiked back to my truck and made my way out–guided only by the footprints I’d made in the snow earlier in the morning.
