I had spent two weeks on every imaginable back road in south Australia searching for the true essence of this great land. This morning I reckon I got pretty close to capturing just that. Throughout the previous day I had been watching the changing clouds, feeling that something was going to happen. I carefully composed the shot knowing each silhouette was critical.

Just as the sun pierced the horizon an incredible glow came out the middle of nowhere and illuminated the scene. The muted pastel colors gave the scene a really special mood. My heart raced as I pressed the shutter soaking the scene up on film. It was a magical moment.
