There are so many great locations to shoot around the Grand Teton but I kept coming back to Oxbow Bend. It was a balmy fall day and I felt an incredible vibe as I stood in awe of Mount Moran. The aspen colors were peaking, reflecting their warmth into the calmness of Snake River and the river bend carried my eye across the water, providing the perfect perspective to create this image. As I shot four frames there was total silence and stillness, only broken by the sound of an eagle’s wings. When I look at this image I can still feel the warmth and grandeur of that special day.
