The Southwest is full of abstracts that change as the sun moves. I spent hours, shooting frame after frame in Antelope Canyon, searching for patterns in nature. It’s like another world, deep beneath the Earth’s crust; I wanted to make this image spectacular. It was late in the afternoon when I noticed the side wall of the canyon aglow in vibrant color. I carefully moved my tripod at a particular angle and noticed this clear shape of a desert fish in my viewfinder. I shot a few frames and moments later, the light changed completely and the fish disappeared. I knew I’d captured this special moment and felt privileged for that.
