South Australia
Christmas 1999, and I found myself sharing the dawn with this lonely sandstone shack in the deserted outback of South Australia. I took a series of shots with my Noblex camera, which delivers an amazing 150 degrees of vision. It was this image that really wraps you up and draws you into the scene that I chose to feature. I’ll never forget this balmy summers morning, the doves cooing in the roof of this deserted hut seeming to herald the promise of a very special Christmas. In this most barren of landscapes, it seemed fitting that this was my last image of the millennium.
