Being a local allows me some unique photographic opportunities. The Barrier Reef is world renowned for its beauty and from the air it is one of the most incredible sights I have ever experienced. We circled for about 20 minutes and I captured the scene from many different angles. But it is this shot with the tiny island completely dwarfed by the expanse of reef surrounding it, which serves to show the true magnificence of the area.
