It’s not what you look at that matters – it’s what you see. That’s how I shoot. It’s a feeling. An instinct. Some of my best work comes from the most unexpected places. On the surface, these trees may have seemed stark and barren – but I saw something more. Something extraordinary. I felt alive - like I had secret I needed to share with the world. There was an element of passion to the forest – the crimson brush against the purple and blue background. I knew I could capture the essence of this scene with the right exposure. I adjusted the camera settings so that the forest would be enriched with vibrant color and texture. As soon as the moment was right, I pressed the shutter and crossed my fingers. The result yielded a painterly feel – emotional, soft, and alive all at the same time.
