This area was just fascinating! The volcanic stepping stones from ancient times are now a beautifully terraced, moss–covered waterfall in Mother Nature’s garden. This shoot coincided with the first major winter storm of the season, so melting snow from the previous day increased the water flow and allowed me to capture the gentle blue light from the sky above, contrasting with the rich greens of the moss. The length of the exposure helped soften the flowing water, but made the greens appear almost fluorescent.
