Prague is a city that has stood the test of time and the elements, outlasting the devastation of war and surviving the harsh presence of communism. Through the years, it has still retained the alluring feel of a romantic European city – classic, warm, and historical. I wanted to capture the powerful silence that seems to overshadow the day-to-day buzz of this enchanting place. I was on a quest to capture the real Prague – its tangible aura and raw emotion. All I had to do was follow the cobblestones that led me to some of the city’s most stunning sites and I would find my vision. Twilight proved the best time to shoot – a glowing blue sky still managed to offer light to the timeless streets and shops below. When I look at this image, I feel as if I could just walk along the curved architecture and leave reality behind.
