Fall is my favorite time of year to shoot – but it can be challenging. There is roughly only a two-week window when the weather is spot on and the leaves are the perfect color. Wait too long, and the snow drifts in. With the clock ticking away, I was completely surprised to stumble upon this fateful vision. It was there for me. A gift from Mother Nature. At dawn, I set up my camera and waited patiently among these towering beauties for the whispering winds to die down just enough to get what I came for. Suddenly, a sense of calm came over me as the forest became still. Peaceful. Serene. I immediately felt a connection to Mother Nature and her magnificent canopy of golden foliage. This was it. I pressed the shutter and my vision was immortalized forever.
