This place is simply magnificent and I searched for the ultimate location to do it justice. I set up beneath partly overcast skies and watched the light play in the arch of the falls, positioning my tripod as close as possible to the roaring cascade. The noise was amazing, being “right there”, surrounded by mist and beauty. I needed a dramatic angle to feel right about the shot. It was a powerful experience being on the edge and so close to something so monumental. As I took this frame the turquoise colors popped and the whole falls roared. It was a moment I’ll never forget.
