I am constantly looking for ways to push the limits of the photographic medium to bring the viewer closer to the world I see. This stand of aspens looked like they were on fire in the snow.  I took a series of different exposures with varying shutter speeds, moving the camera throughout the exposure. This frame really made the scene look like a painting produced in the camera! The “blur” technique worked well with the vertical lines of the trees, creating a surreal effect. Photography is about capturing the special moment and sharing the feeling I get when I press the shutter. Hope you like it!
