Canyon abstracts constantly fascinate me–forever changing with light and the season. I knew that during summer months in Antelope Canyon, the high apex of the sun would cast its beams directly down into the canyon. This particular morning had been extremely windy and as I entered the chasm, dust filled the air; I was concerned about my camera gear. Then I turned the corner, and I was overwhelmed by the magical gods-rays. I ripped out my camera and shot frame after frame; the wind constantly changed the form of the rays in front of me. It seemed like a frenzy at the time, but after looking at this image, I got a spiritual feeling that I captured on film.
