New York has a special atmosphere. An amazing city with a real vibe. I wanted to capture this on film and spent days searching the four corners of New York. I gravitated towards this angle, and love the perspective between the two bridges, bringing the viewer right into the shot. As the sun set, gorgeous clouds formed on the horizon to complete the mood of New York. An 8 second exposure reflected the city’s light in the river, adding another dimension to the scene. I choose a black and white print. I felt it gave the shot a lot more soul. With so many shades, texture, ambient light, this composition really says New York.
