The power of nature never changes. The diversity of American landscapes displays this power in so many different ways and extremes. I spent days hiking and exploring the amazing shores of Lake Superior and wanted to capture its grandeur when I felt right. I found the location and lowered my tripod right down onto the shores. The ice glistened like gold in front of me and I watched the sky blaze with color. This was nature in perfection. I took a series of shots from this low level as the sky peaked. Minutes later darkness crept in and I was stoked to have captured the moment.
