Crater Lake, Oregon
I was in awe as I first looked over the edge of Crater Lake. I knew I wanted to capture the beauty of this magnificent National Park from the right perspective. After a freezing night in my camper, I woke up early and clad myself in snow gear before trudging through thick snow, sometimes waist deep, to this location. There was magical light bouncing off the snow as I framed the island through the trees. The morning had a presence about it - I was the only person there which made me realize once again how powerful mother nature really is, Just standing there as a spectator in something so grand, I pressed the shutter and felt right.
