The red berries and white snow provided a scene of color and contrast. I used a large exposure of 5.6 to blur the background, and carefully composed this delicate scene. The smooth texture of the berries was highlighted by the crunchy surface of the snow. “December” was a scene within a scene, capturing our fragile world and a special moment.
