Acadia National Park, Maine
I had been shooting the fall colors in Maine, and wanted something different—a unique angle of something special. Sometimes, so little can say so much. The apricot colors of this macro scene looked vibrant, and as I looked through the lens, another world opened up to me. Tiny ice crystals decorated the leaf’s edges, and a shallow depth of field allowed me to isolate this tiny section of the scene. It was a moment in time that most of us would never have seen.
