Shooting fall has gentle mystique about it. I hiked the shores of this gorgeous stream, searching for a scene that really spoke to me. Overnight rain brought out the colours in the leaves, and I wanted to make this a feature of my shot. As I turned the corner, I noticed trees from both sides of the stream had met in the middle. It framed the shot up perfectly. I could smell the dampness of the forest, with an underlying hint of fallen leaves–a scent I’ll never forget.
