I wanted to capture the Glass House Mountains from a unique angle. I had spent days searching and shooting from the ground but didn’t really feel right about anything. I searched my thoughts and decided a helicopter might do it. I set my alarm early the next day and met my pilot on the tarmac. As we approached the mountains the day’s first rays illuminated a swirling fog wrapped around the peaks. I went berserk and shot roll after roll from all angles as we circled the scene. We blasted in and out of the mist in the helicopter, an amazing morning I’ll never forget–it was like being on a flying carpet.
