I had been shooting sunrise around the many beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast, but time got away from me and by the time I arrived at this location, the sun had long since risen. The morning had such a crisp clear feeling to it, I decided to set up anyhow to try and capture a daytime shot of the beach. The Sunshine Coast is renowned for great surf beaches and the lush vegetation of its National Parks and it was these elements I wanted to capture. The gnarled branches of a pandanus tree clinging to the edge of the cliff framed my composition perfectly, and the rolling surf adds a gentle movement to the image.
