Beaches are freedom to me. I live on the beach in Australia. There is nothing like the soothing sound of the ocean and an infinite skyline where you can just cruise off to. I wanted to capture the true feeling of Florida so I spent a few days looking for locations before choosing this remote beach on the northern end of Captiva Island to shoot. It was a balmy summer afternoon and the day had a special feel about it. As the sun cast its last golden rays onto the shores I set up my camera and let the warm water swirl around my tripod. I became part of the ocean and pressed the shutter. The fringing palms added that tropical touch.
