Photography and art is always about pushing the boundaries - thinking differently. It was an overcast morning in Aspen with beautiful soft light. The colors of the Aspen leaves were vibrant and the carpet of yellow grass on the forest floor provided great contrast. Instead of a conventional sharp image, I took a series of “blurred” exposures, moving the camera in a vertical motion, the same angle as the trees. The whole scene looked like an abstract painting. When I achieve results like this out of a camera, it makes my challenges totally worth while. The mood, colors, and blur motion of the forest really speaks to me - hope they do the same to you!
