I constantly push the boundaries of photography—searching for that radical angle or abstract form that makes you think. The ever-changing moods and dancing shadows of Antelope Canyon were all happening early this morning beneath the earth’s surface. I shot many abstracts, but pushed the boundaries for something special. As I set up my tripod, pressed against the canyon walls, the surreal underwater-looking scene came to vision. The reflected light cast bright ochre hues around the canyon. I could see a dolphin diving into the ocean, and rippling waves beneath him. The moment was perfect. I pressed the shutter and the long exposure absorbed the scene. The abstract I was searching for finally unveiled itself for me.
