There’s something magical about mist. This morning at Mammoth Cave had that magic. As I walked through the forest there was an eerie silence and I searched for the shot that would capture this scene. I carefully set up my camera, framed by two trees. The fall colors were peaking. The early morning mist floated through the trees and I waited for a calm moment to press the shutter. It was a very special place to be and I felt good about the image.
