Aurora, Oregon
I’ll never forget the rush of adrenaline the day I got the call — a chance to photograph one of the most legendary aircraft ever built. Without hesitation, I jumped on the first flight to Oregon, buzzing with excitement the entire way.
When I arrived, there she was — the DC-3 — resting like a jewel on the heated tarmac. The polished aluminum skin shimmered in the afternoon sun, every rivet and panel telling a story of countless journeys across endless skies. I could almost hear the echoes of passengers stepping aboard, chasing the wonder of flight in a time when every takeoff was still pure magic.
Standing there, I felt connected to the past in a way I can hardly describe — a tribute to the craftsmen who shaped each piece by hand and to the golden age when air travel was still a true adventure.
Capturing Arrival was more than a photograph — it was a journey through history, light, and memory.
