It was a perfectly balmy morning on the vibrant coast of Maui as I set out to capture this vast scene. The area known as Hana – one of my favorite places to visit – showcases a vast collection of cliffs, completely covered with lush, green forestry that seem to abruptly meet the translucent waters of the Pacific. As I peered out from behind an elevated patch of foliage, I was totally struck by this picturesque, uninhabited portion of the island. I just stood there, soaking in the breezy atmosphere that completed this rare moment in time. A perfectly cloudy sky allowed the entire landscape to maintain its true texture and rich color. The brilliant plant life just popped right out at me while the crystal blue waters below seemed to almost glow under the incoming sunlight. Then, I suddenly remembered why I had journeyed this far and swiftly went for my gear. As I looked out over the shoreline, I felt as if I was gazing at some peaceful dream world – designed just for me. I pressed the shutter and immortalized my exotic paradise for all eternity.
