Joshua Tree National Park, California
Joshua Tree is a land shaped by sudden rains and climatic extremes. The undisciplined looking Joshua Trees grow in the special high climate of the Mojave Desert. There is such a contrast in shape and texture up here and I wanted a vantage point to capture this scene. I explored the park for few days and kept coming back to this location which felt right. I waited for the day’s last golden rays to illuminate the monoliths as moody skies swirled above. As I pressed the shutter the desert fell silent. This is what I live for.
