Big Bend National Park is a magical place–full of Mother Nature’s best work. As I turned away from the sunset in front of me I was struck by the warm glow it had left on the cliffs behind. Etched into the rock’s surface were memories of a blisteringly hot day. I had trudged across those same cliffs for hours to find the right sunset shot and then discovered this image just over my shoulder. I am constantly amazed at how the earth can surprise me–where you least expect it a vision will appear.
