Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Although capturing abstracts in nature can be very challenging, I find it very rewarding. I like to keep the viewers wondering what they are in fact looking at. It pushes me and my work to the next level. I have been shooting aerial photographs of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia for hours from a tiny helicopter. The seemingly microscopic composition of this shot comes from the swirling sand beneath, courtesy of the tidal activity. With every sweep of the Pacific more coral gradually collects and solidifies on the reef, making it ever greater.
