Late morning was the perfect time to take this forest shot. The light that broke through the trees really brought the amazing fall colors to life. I liked the way the trail wound through the middle of the frame. For me it shows that nature is there to be enjoyed and that you can get lost amongst it. The stand of dark tree trunks lend a nice variation to the composition and the whole scene has a painterly feel to it that I am always looking to capture
