Saskatchewan, Canada
I spent weeks in the prairie heartland during harvest season, and I really began to feel the spirit of the area. The plains are dotted with these old barns, originally used to store wheat, but now abandoned–surrendering to the elements of time and the ravages of Nature. I wanted to emphasise the furrows around the barns and the simplistic composition of the scene, so used my Noblex camera. The illusion of the exaggerated curvature adds an interesting element to this striking image.Â
