I drove thousands of miles through every enchanting back road, from Aspen to Telluride, chasing that perfect shot. For some reason, this section truly spoke to me. As I curved around the bend, I was instantly struck by how the classic colors of autumn – yellow, gold, orange, and red – perfectly lined the dirt passage ahead. I hit the brakes and stepped out for a closer look. The timing was dead on! Only a few moments after I paused to take in this scene, the early morning light emerged through the trees and provided a warm, painterly glow to this extremely remote location.  The wind quieted down, and silence overcame the woods as I pressed the shutter.
