Boardman, Oregon
Looking through a photograph rather than at it is often my goal when shooting. This poplar plantation was such a stunning location. There were so many different angles to shoot from – In the trees looking out, down all the rows – I decided to take a completely different approach and actually capture this shot from outside the forest. The trees went for miles and finding the right location was a massive challenge. The lone tree really stood out and caught my eye – It added a critical focal point to the shot. Early morning light beamed through the trees and cast a soft glow on this three dimensional location. The golden grass looked surreal – the whole shot looked like a painting. The panoramic format added a nice wide feel to the expanse of the location.
