I drove for days around the Florida Keys searching for that elusive ‘perfect’ shot to capture the true essence of Florida for my ‘Spirit of America’ book. After being frustrated by harsh contrasting light, strong winds and huge crowds of tourists - when I came across this little slice of paradise, it was almost too good to be true! The gently swaying palm trees cast long shadows onto the creamy sand, and the iridescent turquoise ocean in the background added that extra special element to create the ultimate summer beach escape.
