New York is such a busy city. I wanted to search for the angle that gave simplicity and intimacy to this amazing city.  I chose evening twilight to soften the hues of the sky and give me even lighting beneath the bridge. Composition was critical lining up the iconic Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan Bridge in the background. The three wood docking pillars really gave me a perspective to lead you into the shot. A long exposure gave the water a painterly feel, which was key to this composition. I spent weeks shooting this amazing city and would have to say this is one of my favourite angles. The Brooklyn Bridge is so iconic and classic. Capturing this moment on the camera was the mood I was chasing.
