Burra, Australia
I knew that in Burra, the colors of the fields would be peaking. I was shooting for over a week, searching all the back roads for the perfect composition. Yellow was the dominant color, and I took many shots with yellow fields and bland, blue skies. This morning, after I woke up, the air felt different. I grabbed my gear and followed the angry skies. All my efforts paid off as one section of the remote outback had the lot–purple and yellow flowers, a classic old shack and a megastorm approaching. All the clouds were there, and I quickly took a series of shots as the storm approached. I was out there with Mother Nature and the perfect setting. I could smell the rain. It was absolutely one of those rare moments that I search for. Nothing beats it, and I will never forget it.
