To capture the real beauty of the ocean, I used a long shutter exposure to give the image a painterly feel. I set up my tripod just inches above the incoming tide and took a series of shots. The fresh salt air filled my lungs and the warm tropical water circled me and I became a part of the ocean.  As the sun set, the clouds were painted red and a perfect wave filled the frame. Then I pressed the shutter.
