The Outback desert dunes in remote central Australia hold a certain magic for me. Bright red sands provide a spectacular contrast against the cobalt blue skies. I had been camping beneath southern skies searching for that special image which captured a feeling. This morning I packed up all my gear and headed into the dunes. It was very windy, and I noticed a windswept cloud formation dance on the horizon. I wanted to keep the shot powerful and simple, so I set up a low camera angle only a few inches above the sand. As I shot the roll the clouds seemed to come out of sky and kiss the dune. When I pressed the shutter the wind roared past me as if it spoke to me. It was a special moment.
